Straight foward in design of casting and other parts, allows this engine to be built on smaller equipment. A 12" lathe and small mill will handle most of the job. This design also allows versatiltiy in construction. May be made as described in drawings (AS SHOWN IN PHOTOGRAPH) or may be made into other designss such as a steam hoist with a center drum,
a vertical engine for a boat, etc.
The engine built (As shown) with a large spoked flywheel was made into a 2000 lb. Traction Engine with 19:1 gear ratio. It will pull a pick-up truck on soft ground with the brakes locked.
